Overlay Type Filter

Search only clips, only triggers, or only captures — instead of everything at once.

A filter badge in the overlay lets you narrow results to a single module. Handy when you have a lot of clips and just want to find a text expansion keyword.

How to use it

Press Tab to cycle through filters:

Badge Shows
ALL Everything — clips, triggers, captures
C Clips only (text, images, URLs)
T Triggers only (text expansions)
S Captures / screenshots only

Or use prefix syntax — type a prefix at the start of your search to jump straight to that filter:

Prefix Example Effect
c: c: invoice Switch to Clips, search “invoice”
t: t: addr Switch to Triggers, search “addr”
s: s: meeting Switch to Captures, search “meeting”

Note the space after the colon — c: invoice works, c:invoice does not.

The prefix disappears once typed — only your search term stays in the box.

Or click the badge next to the search field — same as pressing Tab.

Went one filter too far? Press Shift+Tab to jump straight back to the filter you were just on — no need to cycle all the way around. It toggles between the last two filters, so Shift+Tab again returns to where you started. Handy when you keep flipping between the same two types (e.g. Clips ↔ Triggers).

Tips & gotchas

  • The filter resets to ALL every time you close and reopen the overlay.
  • Captures only appear if the Captures module is active.
  • The prefix must be at the very start of your search text — invoice c: won’t work, c: invoice will.
