Capture Your Screen
You’ll learn how to take a screenshot of a region, annotate it, and extract text from it with OCR — all without leaving Blue Synergy.

Take a screenshot
- Press Ctrl+Alt+R to open the region selector.
- Click and drag to draw a rectangle around what you want to capture.
- Release the mouse — the screenshot is taken immediately.
The screenshot appears in the Captures workspace and in the thumbnail strip at the bottom.
Capture the full screen: Press Ctrl+Alt+F for a fullscreen capture.
Annotate the screenshot
With the capture selected in the editor:
- Choose a tool from the toolbar: arrow, rectangle, text, blur, highlight…
- Draw on the image.
- Press Ctrl+S to save your annotated version.
- Or click Copy to Clipboard in the ribbon — your annotations are included in the copy.
Extract text with OCR
Have a screenshot with text in it? Let OCR read it for you.
- Press Ctrl+Alt+O to open the OCR region selector.
- Draw a region around the text.
- Release — the recognized text is copied to your clipboard.
- A toast shows how many characters were extracted.
First time using OCR? English is bundled. For other languages, go to Settings → Captures → OCR → Lang and select a language to download its pack.
