Your Clipboard History

You’ll learn how to find something you copied earlier and paste it — without hunting through the clipboard or recopying it from the source. Blue Synergy remembers everything.

Copy a few things

Go about your normal work. Copy some text, a URL, a code snippet — anything. Blue Synergy captures it all automatically.

Everything you copy appears in the Clips workspace as you work. No action needed.

Find what you copied

From the Quick Overlay (anywhere)

Press Ctrl+Alt+Space to open the overlay. Start typing — results update instantly.

  • Press Enter to copy the selected clip to the clipboard.
  • Press Ctrl+Enter to paste the selected clip directly into whatever app you were using.
  • Press F3 to peek at the selected clip’s full content inline (press F3 again to collapse).
  • Press Esc to close without copying.

From the Clips workspace

Press Ctrl+F to focus the search bar and type any word from the clip you’re looking for.

Paste a clip

Select a clip in the list and press Ctrl+Enter to paste it directly into the active app, or Enter to copy it to the clipboard.

Or double-click a clip in the Clips workspace to copy it to the clipboard, then paste normally with Ctrl+V.

The overlay also runs Triggers and shows Captures

The Quick Overlay (Ctrl+Alt+Space) isn’t only for clips. It also finds your Triggers and your Captures — the same keys work but the action changes based on the item type:

Item type Enter Ctrl+Enter
Clip (text / image / URL) Copy to clipboard Paste directly into the previous app
Trigger (workflow) Fire the trigger — runs the workflow as if you typed its keyword Copy the trigger’s output to the clipboard instead of executing it
Capture (screenshot) Copy the image to the clipboard Paste the image directly into the previous app

Keyboard shortcuts

Key Action

Ctrl+Enter Paste clip / copy trigger output / paste capture

Organize as you go

Once you have clips building up, a few tricks help:

  • Pin a clip — right-click → Pin (or press the pin button). Pinned clips never get auto-deleted.
  • Tag a clip — right-click → Tags → pick or create a tag. Then click the tag in the sidebar to filter.
  • Folder — drag clips into folders in the left sidebar for longer-term organization.

Next steps

  • Triggers — stop retyping the same text — create a text expansion
  • Captures — capture a region of your screen
