Clips
A clip is a saved entry from your clipboard — text, links, code snippets, or images. Blue Synergy creates clips automatically in the background whenever you press Ctrl+C anywhere. No action required.
- The source app is recorded automatically (e.g. Chrome, Word).
- Copying the same text twice saves it only once.
Finding clips
Quick Overlay — Ctrl+Space from any app, then start typing. Results update live.
Tip: Add the prefix
c:before your search term (e.g.c:invoice) to search only clips — no macros, no screenshots.
Main window — Switch to the Clips tab, then press Ctrl+F. Use the left sidebar for additional filters:
Text/Images/URLs— filter by typeBy App— show only clips from a specific program
Star filters — Type *source=Chrome or *type=IMG in the search bar for precise queries.
Organizing clips
Pin — Right-click → Pin, or click the star icon. Pinned clips are never deleted automatically.
Folders — Click + under “Folders” in the left sidebar, name the folder, then drag and drop clips into it.
Tags — Right-click → Tags → + New tag… — assign a name and color. Tags appear as colored pills on the clip and are filterable from the sidebar.
Editing and deleting clips
Edit — Click a clip, then type directly in the right-hand preview panel. Changes are saved automatically when you click away. The clip gets an orange “edited” badge. Use the Revert button in the toolbar to restore the original at any time.
Delete — Press Delete or right-click → Delete.
Trash — Deleted clips move to Trash in the sidebar and stay there for 30 days. Right-click → Restore to recover them.
Secure Clips
Passwords and confidential data should not be visible in the list — especially during screen sharing.
Lock manually — Right-click → Lock clip. The content is replaced with •••••••• and the clip gets a SEC badge. The content is only revealed after unlocking.
Auto-protect — Under Settings > Security, set rules per app. Use Mask + Purge mode for your password manager to instantly mask copied passwords and permanently delete them after a short delay.
