Region Selector
Draw a region and release the mouse to capture instantly — no Enter key needed.

The region selector fires the screenshot the moment you release the mouse button. A shortcut hint at the bottom of the overlay updates live to show the current mode.
How to use it
- Press the capture hotkey (default Ctrl+Alt+R) to open the region selector.
- Click and drag to draw your region.
- Release the mouse — the screenshot is taken immediately.
Keyboard precision fallback: If you press a key during a drag (other than the view-only shortcuts S, C, H), the selector switches to Enter-confirmation mode for that drag. The shortcut hint updates to "Enter — Confirm selection". This lets you nudge the selection and then confirm deliberately.
Tips & gotchas
- Press Esc to close the selector without capturing.
- The keyboard fallback resets on each new drag — starting a new drag always begins in mouse-release mode.
- View-only keys (S = show shortcuts, C = copy color, H = toggle panel) do not trigger the fallback.
- The zoom loupe shows a magnified view near your cursor during selection — useful for pixel-perfect region edges.
