Scrollable Capture

Capture a whole long page in one tall image. Blue Synergy scrolls the window for you and stitches the pieces together.

Some things don’t fit on screen — a long web page, a multi-page document, a tall settings dialog. Scrollable capture picks up where a normal screenshot stops: pick the window, and Blue Synergy scrolls it step by step and joins every frame into a single image.

Pro feature. Scrollable capture is part of Blue Synergy Pro. On the Free plan the button shows a 👑 and opens the upgrade dialog.

How to use it

  1. Open the Advanced capture group in the ribbon and choose Scrollable, then pick the window you want.
  2. A small control panel opens on Ready — pick a step. Nothing scrolls yet.
  3. Choose a scroll step, then press Start (or Enter):
    • Fine — small steps, most overlap, most reliable stitch (slower).
    • Normal — the default.
    • Coarse — large steps, fastest, for clean high-contrast pages.
  4. Blue Synergy scrolls and captures automatically. Press Stop when you’ve reached the end (it also stops on its own at the bottom of the page).
  5. The finished long image lands in your Captures workspace, ready to annotate, crop, or save like any capture.

Tips & gotchas

  • Start on a page that came out with gaps or doubling? Re-run it on a finer step. Fine gives the stitcher more overlap to work with. Your step choice is remembered for the next capture.
  • Works best for web pages and long documents — anything that scrolls continuously in a single column.
  • It struggles with spreadsheet grids, PDF whitespace, and side-by-side panes (like a chat with a sidebar), where repeating patterns confuse the stitching. For those, a series of normal captures is more reliable for now.
  • Keep the target window visible and on top while it scrolls — if it’s hidden or minimized, scrolling won’t reach it.
  • Esc stops and saves; Esc on the Ready screen cancels.
