Formatted Changelog

Release notes with bold text, inline code, and keyboard shortcuts displayed as key caps.

Help → Check for Updates shows a formatted changelog. Keyboard shortcut references render as styled key badges (Ctrl+D, F2) so they’re easy to scan.

How to use it

  1. Open Help → Check for Updates.
  2. The dialog has three areas:
    • Check for Updates — compare your installed version to the latest release.
    • What’s New — entries newer than your installed version.
    • Version History — full release history.
  3. If an update is available, click Download & Install for a silent one-click update.

Tips & gotchas

  • “What’s New” only shows versions newer than what you have installed.
  • “Version History” always shows everything.
  • The changelog is baked into the app at build time, so it works without an internet connection.
  • The [Unreleased] section (for in-progress work) is never shown to users.
